Biography

I’m Adam, a documentary and landscape photographer based in North Yorkshire. I work with people, places and stories, often outdoors, often slowly, and always with intention.

My background is rooted in time spent on the trail: hiking, riding, navigating wild weather and wilder terrain. That rhythm has shaped how I work with a camera, observational, responsive, and quietly persistent.

Whether it’s documenting a mountain crossing, a community gathering, or a still moment at the edge of the day, I’m drawn to stories that speak of connection, to land, to memory, to one another.

Through photography, I aim to reflect the feeling of being there, not just what it looked like, but what it meant.

Clients come to me not only for images, but for a thoughtful approach. I bring creative collaboration, careful listening, and a deep respect for the stories people trust me to tell.

I’ve been published in:

Front page of The MJ newspaper with headline 'Settling for another year' and a photo of two people at a mountain peak, one sitting on the ground and the other standing, both wearing blue jackets.
A collage of photos from the Three Peaks Challenge, featuring hikers crossing a grassy trail, a group of people sitting with a dog, and a night scene with festival lights, with a large stone viaduct and mountains in the background.
A smiling man wearing a knit beanie, sunglasses on top, and a light-colored sports jacket, sitting outdoors with grass and plants, looking at a device in his hands.
